Music and Counterculture Lab
A gathering place for electronic and experimental music and new forms of sound expression, promoting festivals, educational programs, and projects that strengthen the independent scene.
One of KB’s strongest pillars has been its contribution to the electronic and experimental music scene. It has served as a space for education, exchange, and gathering, hosting high-impact projects such as:
- Club Raum Berlin – Goethe-Institut (2016): an exhibition on electronic music, photography, and the history of Berlin’s iconic clubs.
- Nuits Sonores (2017–2019): KB hosted the renowned French festival, serving as a hub for exchanges between local and international artists.
- DJ School for Vulnerable Communities (2022–2024): an educational program that opened up creative possibilities for new generations.
- BIME (2023–2025): As host of the international festival, KB facilitated dialogues between the music industry, emerging artists, and diverse audiences.
- BOMM – Bogotá Music Market (2024–2025): KB served as the venue for showcases and gatherings, establishing itself as a bridge between music, culture, and society in Bogotá.
Artists and collectives such as Lydia Lunch, Eduard Escoffet, Ajo and Judith Farrés, Rebotini, and Red Light Radio, among others, have performed at KB. In 2021, during the protests in Colombia, Red Light Radio recorded an LP at KB as an audio testimony to social resistance.
